The red pouch is designed to be hung by the grommet with the pouch opening down, so you can grab and pull the two straps quickly, deploy the blanket and unfold the first aid blanket to cover the fire source with until it suffocates and extinguishes the fire.

Rescue blanket acts as a protective shield. These blankets can be used to extinguish heat-alarming small fires and aid in house fire prevention, by suffocating them of oxygen. You can either use it to stop little fires that can get out of control in the outdoor grill, campfire, slit places, curtains having nearby sockets, in case of electric short circuiting in home and kitchen. Just wrap it around you and get away as soon as possible.
Durably Fashioned and Hefty fibre glass construction. Our A grade fire blankets are made of ultimate heavy duty fiberglass, a material that smoothens the flames and stands out due to its temperature-resistant properties. Fiberglass is flame-retardant, and it meets EN- 1869: 1997 standard for fire suppression. If you are residing in a remote cabin, it acts as a fire extinguisher, considering it would take the volunteer time to respond to distress calls.

I can’t believe I have gone all these years without having one of these in our kitchen. The price is amazing for something so important to have on hand and I will likely purchase more of these. I’m thinking, even, of making these a standard part of any shower/wedding/housewarming gift from us in the future. I had no idea they were so affordable. It’s really silly NOT to have at least one on hand. The fire blanket removes easily from the holder and fit well over the stove with good coverage. I suggest everyone purchase one of these and not “wish you had” should an emergency arise. Hoping to never have to REALLY put this to the test, but very happy to have this in our kitchen!!

I’m one of those ‘fire nuts’ who actually keeps an extinguisher in the car, and on each level of my home. This fire blanket seems like a great addition to the car, particularly, though it could be used in-home, too. Because we don’t realize what it takes to suppress fire, purchasers should know that it’s heavy – not overwhelmingly so but more than you might imagine by looking at it. Since I live in California, with both fires and earthquakes (and quake-induced fires) I find it valuable. I’d also note that one source of wildfire is auto fires or overheated cars pulling over into dry grass, so this (and the extinguisher) is one way to help until the firefighters arrive.
